I own a dell inspiron 5150 w/ a loud fan. Help!!?
So the laptop is kinda old buy not much. The fan goes off in about 30 mins. The fan is really loud. If i buy a new cooling fan, will it be more quiet? Which ones do you recomend? Oh by the way it has a heating issue so maybe thats why it goes off so much. What hardware would i have to buy so the computer doesn’t heat up so quick? CPU chip?
Inspiron 5150 has the Pentium 4 processor. The CPU is known for its high power consumption, heat output, and loud fans for both desktops and laptops.
So it’s no surpise there’s problematic heating issues with this laptop.

I’d seriously recommend a laptop with a power efficient CPU be it a Pentium M, Atom, Core 2 Duo/Solo, Pentium Dual Core, Athlon/Turion X2.
Pentium 4 just weren’t meant for laptops.
